Terms for coaches and instructors
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone using TaiChiAI Coach: pose coaches, who record the reference poses students practise against, and tai chi instructors, who give live video lessons to TaiChiAI students. TaiChiAI is run by LSTGMove, a company registered in Mauritius ("we"). By creating a TaiChiAI Coach account you accept these terms. Questions: support@taichiai.app.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information about yourself, including your name and photo.
- You sign in with a code sent to your email: keep access to your email secure. Your account is personal and may not be shared.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account › Delete account). Your profile, photo, lessons and personal details are then deleted. If you are a pose coach, your recorded poses stay (see section 3).
2. Independent professional
You use TaiChiAI Coach as an independent professional, not as our employee, agent or partner. You decide whether and when you teach or record, and you are responsible for your own taxes, social contributions, insurance and any licence or qualification your country requires to teach tai chi.
3. Pose coaches: your recordings
- Record each pose carefully, in a safe and correct form for its level: students practise against your recording.
- You keep the rights to your recordings. You allow us, free of charge and without time limit, to store them, show them to students in the apps (as a skeleton and, where you add one, a picture) and use them to score students' poses.
- Your recorded poses stay in TaiChiAI even if you delete your account, so students can keep practising. Your account is then closed and made anonymous: your name, email, phone and profile are removed, and we only keep what is needed to pair students with your poses — your gender and body measurements — under the name "Former coach".
4. Tai Chi instructors: your profile and lessons
- Your profile (photo, description, country, languages, fee and payment details) must be accurate and kept up to date. Only describe qualifications you really have.
- You set your own fee, lesson length, weekly hours and time off. Students book free times within your hours; a booking is a commitment to give the lesson at that time.
- Give each booked lesson on time, in a quiet place, with a stable connection. Lessons take place in the app's video call.
- If you cannot give a lesson, cancel it in the app as early as possible; the student is told at once. If the student already paid you, refund them in full. Repeated cancellations or missed lessons may lead us to stop listing you.
- Students may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before a lesson; after that, you may ask them to pay for it.
5. Payment and commission
- For now, students pay you directly, using the payment details in your profile. We do not handle this payment and are not a party to the agreement between you and your student.
- For each lesson that takes place, we charge a commission: a percentage of your fee, shown in the app when you set your fee. At the start of each month we invoice you the commission on the lessons you gave the month before, payable within 30 days. Cancelled lessons are not counted.
- We may change the commission rate; a new rate only applies to lessons booked after we have told you.
- Please do not arrange to move students you met through TaiChiAI to lessons outside the app in order to avoid the commission.
6. Conduct and safety
- Be professional, respectful and safe. Adapt your teaching to each student's level and health, and do not give medical advice.
- Do not record a lesson, or take pictures of a student, without their clear consent.
- Use students' details only to give their lessons, never for anything else, and never share them.
- No harassment, discrimination, offensive content or unlawful behaviour, in lessons, profiles or messages.
7. Ratings and reports
Students can rate their lessons and leave a comment; your average rating is shown on your profile. You may report a review that breaks these terms or is false, and block a student. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep TaiChiAI available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that bookings, calls or body tracking will always work. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost income, or for lessons, payments or disputes between you and students. You are responsible for the lessons you give and the content you record.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; we will tell you in the app before important changes apply. These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius.
